It takes more than a good idea to pull off a sound-rich, narrative-driven podcast that will captivate your audience.

You need a team of audio professionals who know storytelling for this particular medium inside and out. Plus, a plan that turns a good idea into a sustainable, one-of-a-kind podcast that connects with listeners worldwide.

That’s our thing.

We’re audio storytellers who give each podcast idea that comes our way the boutique treatment. And the result?

You get a podcast that’s clear,
creative and efficient — brimming
with even more possibility than you originally imagined.

Going Wild with Dr. Rae Wynn-Grant is a podcast from PBS Nature that follows wildlife biologist Dr. Rae Wynn-Grant through the action-packed adventures of her job.

PBS Nature's original idea for Going Wild was fairly straightforward: to make a podcast about wildlife biology. But how do you make a show about wildlife for the audio medium?

Enter Great Feeling Studios.

Together, we dove into the messy creative process, playing with different formats and ideas. Our goal was to produce a show that worked for the audio medium and still upheld PBS Nature's high standards for educational storytelling.

What emerged went so much deeper than facts about animals. The show now focuses on the human drama behind wildlife conservation efforts. Told through the lens of Dr. Rae Wynn-Grant, listeners learn about what it's like to be a Black female scientist working in wildlife conservation.

What we did:

  • Clarified the show concept, format, and focus.

  • Streamlined the podcast production process to set the show up for multiple seasons.

  • Hand-picked the right professionals for the job: a story editor, producer, project manager, and sound designer.

No Small Endeavor (formerly Tokens) is a Nashville variety show, podcast, and public radio show that explores what it means to live a good life. Hosted by Professor of Theology and Ethics, Lee C. Camp.

Tokens at the Ryman in 2013

Since 2008, No Small Endeavor (formerly Tokens) has educated and entertained audiences through its live variety show. World class musical guests, authors, and philosophers of all genres and backgrounds have appeared on the No Small Endeavor stage.

But when the 2020 global pandemic took away the option for live events (what then Tokens was best at), they turned to Great Feeling Studios. The big question on everyone’s minds: how can we transform the then Tokens Show into a high-quality podcast? And how do we train our writers and live performers to create content for an audio-only medium?

Through a detailed piloting process, Great Feeling Studios helped the then Tokens team take the best aspects of their live show and turn it into a weekly podcast. With a smart and sustainable production system, this weekly show now runs like clockwork.

In 2021, Great Feeling Studios helped Tokens secure a spot on Nashville Public Radio. Tokens valued Great Feeling Studios so much that in 2022 they purchased the company. Great Feeling Studios helped with a major rebrand of Tokens to No Small Endeavor and have secured a distribution deal with a major company to distribute the radio show nationally in 2023.

What we did:

  • Worked with existing writers and performers to turn a live event into a weekly podcast and radio show.

  • Streamlined the podcast production process to set the show up for multiple seasons.

  • Hand-picked the right audio professionals for the job: a story editor, project manager, and sound designer.
